I wanted to create
a graphic design
studio with a
difference.

A little bit old fashioned

I create modern and relevant design but I provide old-fashioned service. I want each client to feel valued and central to the process. I adjust my approach to suit each individual client, to ensure every design project is enjoyable and runs smoothly. This starts at our very first meeting. Do you want to meet in your office, or do you prefer a long chat over a coffee in a cafe? Or does a video call suit you better? Whatever works best for you, works for me. This is the way I approach the whole design process, and is one of the reasons why I have so many repeat clients and consistent 5 star Google reviews.

Smart graphic design

What smart design means to me is not just creating ‘pretty pictures’. I see each design brief as a complex puzzle to solve. It involves taking the time to really understand you, your business, and your product or service. Together we will identify who your target audience is. What are they like? What do they like? How are they receiving information? How can we best connect with them? All of this, and more, is considered when creating designs with impact, that will help your business stand out from the crowd, lead to strong audience engagement, and tangible results.

Flexible studio model

Most days you’ll find me in my lovely, purpose built studio in a leafy Canberra street, but I have a network of designers who all work from their own 'happy places'. Being surrounded by an environment of our choice really nurtures creativity – which means better designs for you. In fact some days you might find me set up in a cafe, art gallery or even a garden – wherever inspiration lies. This flexible studio model also means that your project team can be easily tailored to suit you, whether it be accessing extra designers or more service professionals like photographers, marketers, copywriters and more.

Tailored pricing packages
Linden graphics doesn't have one size fits all pricing, because every client and business is unique. For example, a not-for-profit organisation or a micro business just starting out probably has a different budget to a big business. So at linden graphics I look at each individual project and client when putting together a pricing package. Contact linden graphics now so I can tailor a package to suit you.

About Michelle

My background

I have been a graphic designer for over 20 years. I’ve also studied fine art, illustration, painting, sculpture, photography, and interior design. Before founding Linden Graphics I worked as a graphic designer in various sectors, including marketing (Marketforce Advertising Agency), the arts (Australian National Gallery), education (Australian National University), the public service (Department of Agriculture, where I was the senior designer and studio manager of the design studio), as well as other private and public design studios.

My approach

Graphic design expertise is obviously extremely important when you select a designer, but what is equally important is choosing a designer who you can have a great working relationship with – this is of utmost importance to me. With linden graphics my aim is to ensure that each one of my clients feels respected, valued and supported throughout the design process. I like to think that I don't just make the process stress free, I make it enjoyable.

My designs

I'm often asked why I don't have a design niche, and the answer is – I love the diversity of graphic design too much! If you read 'my background' above, and if you have a look at my designs, you'll see that I have a very wide range of design background and expertise. One of the aspects I love so much about my graphic design work is the variety, one day I might be designing a large corporate report, the next day I could be developing the branding for a small business, and the next perhaps I'm designing the packaging of a product. This diversity of design work has really enriched my creativity and agility as a graphic designer, and means I always bring a fresh perspective to each new design project.
